Jim Hoffpauir is President of Zenitel USA and the executive leader of the Safety and Security Sector for Zenitel Group, a global leader in intelligent communication solutions. Jim has provided strategic leadership in the global sector as well as the overall growth of the Americas. His unwavering passion for security and technology originated in the 1980s when he served in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Petty Officer Second Class, Search and Rescue. He was recruited by AOL in 1988 as Director of Business Systems and Development, helping to pioneer one of the original consumer internet companies. In 2000, Jim was the recipient of AOL’s “Technologies Excellence Award”. Since that time Jim has led numerous small-to-Fortune-500 companies with physical and IP-based security solutions by driving a culture of excellence. At Zenitel, he has helped define the category of critical communications by distilling its value down to its most essential element: the need to hear and be heard as well as understood. When Jim isn’t innovating the critical communications space he can be found at his home in Washington DC, or digging in the soil on his farm in Virginia.
