Martin Harvey
Head of European Regulatory Affairs, Tyco InternationalMartin Harvey is the Head of European Regulatory Affairs for Tyco International. He began his career with EMI Electronics, working at the R&D department of AFA Minerva developing new fire detection products and the UKs first microprocessor based intruder alarm. He then moved into the marine and offshore division, designing control systems for North Sea rigs and platforms, before moving to project manage the development of a new range of fire and security equipment. Following the acquisition by Tyco and a merger with ADT, he took up the position of General Manager for the South West, looking after the commercial side of both fire and security systems. Martin is also the Chairman of the Security Systems Section of the BSIA. He has been involved with the fire and security industry for over 38 years and during this period has sat on a number of British standard committees and working groups. Alongside the BSIA, he is also involved with the Fire Industry Association (FIA).
