What is Smart home?
The term 'smart home' refers to a residential property with a system of connected devices which can be controlled by a smart phone, computer, tablet or other smart device.
Smart home systems typically feature heating and air conditioning appliances, video security products, locking and access control devices, and electricity and water monitoring systems.
Often, these devices connect to a home wi-fi network, and can be operated remotely via a mobile application.
Smart home security systems can include electronic locking devices, which may be opened using mobile credentials. A smart phone app may allow users to unlock a door remotely, or see who's at the door via remote video.
Smart video systems deter burglars and allow users to check who's at home. Users may be able to monitor a video stream remotely via a smart phone or tablet.
Smart home security systems may be integrated with other home control devices to form a comprehensive smart home ecosystem.
