Geutebruck adds more megapixel and full HD+ cameras to its TopLine IP range
Geutebruck adds more megapixel and full HD+ cameras to its TopLine IP range

There are now four more high end models in Geutebruck’s TopLine range of progressive scan IP cameras.  Designed and made in Germany to ensure top quality and reliability, they all come with specific features to complement Geutebruck video security systems and boost overall system performance.  Besides the MJPEG and MPEG-4 compression formats, these dual-streaming cameras also support Geutebruck’s H264CCTV specialist security process, which unlike most H264 implementations, plays back fluid motion video, forwards and backwards, even frame by frame, without any gaps.  Two of the new models are fixed view, day/night, dome cameras with 1/3” CMOS sensors and integral 2.8 mm to 10 mm zoom lenses which offer full HD+ resolution (2.7MP / 1920 x 1440 pixels).  These also deliver video in full HD resolution at up to 30 fps.  The TopFD-2125 model comes in a standard housing, and the TopFD-2228 has an IP 66 vandal-resistant housing.   The other pair are 5-megapixel box cameras with 1/2.5” CMOS sensors - the TopBC-1123 being a colour camera and the TopBC-2123 a day/night camera.  These both provide full resolution (5MP / 2560 x 1920 pixels) video at up to 9 fps. Standard automatic camera features shared by all four newcomers include: white balance, exposure, electronic shutter, back light compensation, flicker reduction (flickerless) and AGC.  As well as electronic PTZ functions, they all support text insertion, motion detection, privacy masking and mirror functions.  Designed for seamless, licence-free integration into Geutebruck video surveillance systems, all TopLine cameras can be powered either from a local low voltage supply or centrally by PoE. Geutebruck’s TopLine network cameras now with AF
Geutebruck’s TopLine network cameras now with AF

Geutebruck’s TopLine range of high resolution, high quality network cameras now includes two models with auto focus functionality for quicker, easier installation and commissioning.  The TopFD-2131 and the TopFD-2233 are both day/night, fixed dome IP cameras with 1/3" CMOS sensors, full HD plus resolution and AF vario focal lenses (2.8 mm to 10 mm). Both support dual streaming in H264CCTV, MJPEG and MPEG4. The first is for indoor use the second has a weather-proof, vandal resistant housing for outdoor applications. Thanks to the auto focus function there is no manual focusing involved in installing these cameras. You just mount the camera and adjust for the desired viewing angle, then click the so-called ‘one push focus’ button in the camera’s web browser to initiate auto focusing. This process uses the whole image as its reference and may take several seconds to complete. However, it is only required once. The automatic focus correction is independent of the lighting conditions, so in operation, the camera continues to deliver a sharp images even after day/night switching. Commenting on these new products, Frank Brandtner, Geutebruck’s product manager says: “Our TopLine cameras are all high specification models designed for top performance and seamless integration in our systems. They include the latest functionality and support the specialist security format H264CCTV which is designed to provide completely air-tight recording by playing back fluid motion forwards, backwards, even frame by frame, smoothly without jumps or gaps.” For more information visit www.geutebrueck.com

Argus, Geutebruck’s high precision pan and tilt system continues to turn heads
Argus, Geutebruck’s high precision pan and tilt system continues to turn heads

Argus, Geutebrück’s sophisticated pan and tilt system continues to attract attention wherever it is shown and Las Vegas was no exception. Engineered to support extremely fast, precise camera work in hostile environments, it delivers a smooth, stable image even for close-ups with a high power zoom, and pans at any speed from a slow crawl (0.01°/s) to a very fast sweep (200°/s). Its 225 fixed positions for pan, tilt, focus and zoom are reached with extremely high accuracy (< +/- 0.01°), and the head automatically returns to its ‘home’ position after a period of inactivity or following any attempt at unauthorised realignment. Argus allows endless 360° rotation for continuous all-round observation of its environment and can be mounted upright or inverted. Two different IP66/V4A weather and corrosion-proof housings with dirt and water repellent windows are designed to accommodate a wide range of cameras with 12-240 mm zoom lenses including a range extender. The heads are easy to mount and remove for servicing and requiring no lubrication are completely maintenance free. Argus is therefore an solution for reliable, cost-effective operation in inhospitable and inaccessible places such as tunnels or marine and industrial environments as well as large open sites.   An optional protection ring ('IceShield’) can be fitted (or retrofitted) to prevent internal icing in very cold weather and an optional AirBlastCleaner is available to deal with any particularly tenacious water drops, snow flakes, insects or spiders which cling to the housing window. This maintenance-free device enables the control room operator to clean the glass with a short blast of compressed air without leaving his seat. Argus comes in several different configurations to suit your particular need.  You can use it with a day/night camera alone, with a camera and an infrared spotlight or together with a thermal imaging camera. The high performance, infrared spotlight has long-life LEDs and a choice of three beam angles.  It works in unison with the camera head and automatically floods the monitored scene with IR light to a distance of up to 70m. When fitted with a colour CCTV camera and a thermal imaging camera, Argus is a formidable tool for use on large open sites, round the clock and in any weather.  Immune to the effects of dazzling lights, darkness, mist or smoke, thermal imaging is ideal for spotting intruders from a considerable distance. With no illumination involved, it is unobtrusive and offers a high probability of detection even at long range because of the difficulty for intruders to screen themselves against the technology.
