Senior Director, Commercial Infrared Products, DRS TechnologiesMr. Greg Christison is responsible for comprehensive technical direction, as well as the product management and development of DRS Technologies’ WatchMaster® Thermal Security and Surveillance Systems portfolio, Tamarisk® Infrared (IR) Camera Modules line and future commercial uncooled IR product development. Mr. Christison leverages a diverse background of industry leadership and experience in the high-tech and semiconductor industries, to provide a unique vantage point for DRS Commercial Infrared Systems’ strategy - aligning product requirements with core competencies to enable differentiated products and services. After receiving his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, Mr. Christison began his career with Texas Instruments (TI), the prominent global analogue and digital semiconductor IC design and manufacturer, where he was Design Manager within the Broadband Communications Group from 1996-2004.He then served five years as the VP of Engineering and eventually the CTO for a progressive fabless semiconductor company, where he successfully implemented strategic roadmaps for wireless USB (WUSB) product lines for high-speed, short-range applications. Mr. Christison entered DRS Technologies as Director of Engineering for Adjacent Markets, leading an initiative to shape DRS’ uncooled LWIR capabilities into commercially viable product lines for consumption outside of defence markets. By garnering DRS’ legacy of advanced electro-optical sensor development for defence applications, and his background in venture capital start up business processes, Mr. Christison and his team have propelled DRS Commercial Infrared Systems as a worldwide leader in thermal imaging for Security and Surveillance and adjacent commercial markets.
