Mr Brady will be responsible for the manpower operations across the UK and Europe Gordon Brady has been appointed Chief Operating Officer at The Shield Group, the UK’s largest independent total security solutions provider . Mr Brady, who joined the firm in 2012 as a Managing Director of National Accounts, has more than 23 years’ security industry experience. As Chief Operating Officer, Mr Brady will be responsible for The Shield Group’s manpower operations across the UK and Europe, ensuring customers continue to receive first class customer service and that they benefit from The Shield Group’s Total Security Solutions (TSS) model. He will also be responsible for fostering employee alignment with corporate goals and strategies. The announcement comes at an important juncture for The Shield Group. Mr Brady has been an integral part of The Shield Group’s recent success and exponential growth, leading it to become the UK’s largest independent TSS provider, with a portfolio that boasts esteemed organisations such as the Imperial War Museum. The Shield Group also recently launched four strategic verticals, combining traditional manpower and innovative technology to deliver intelligent, risk-based TSS to its customers. Prior to joining The Shield Group, Mr Brady spent 16 years with Rentokil Initial, as UK Retail Director, and six years with a national Facilities Management (FM) provider as Group Operations Director for the UK & Ireland. From 2006 to 2012 Mr Brady worked as Group Operations Director in the FM Sector where he was responsible for a number of key divisions including retail and commercial manned guarding, overseeing account growth and development in both areas. At Initial Security Limited, where Mr Brady worked from 1990 to 2006, he worked as the National Account Director specialising in the retail sector and managing a UK portfolio of over £10 million, as well as supporting 16 branches in five different regions. With Mr Brady’s unrivalled experience in the security sector, his leadership will continue to steer The Shield Group to become the benchmark in the industry.

Mr Roberts will oversee the company's new Monitoring Centre The Shield Group, UK’s largest independent total security solutions provider, has announced Eric Roberts as the Managing Director of the company’s Monitoring and Systems division. Mr Roberts, whose last position was Business Development Director - Monitoring at Corps Security, will be joining The Shield Group from 1st August 2014 to manage the day-to-day operations of the Monitoring and Systems Division and will be based in the company’s headquarters in Austin Friars, London. Mr Roberts, 47, joins The Shield Group at an exciting time, as the company leads the way in delivering innovative and progressive security solutions based on its adopted Total Security Solutions (TSS) model. Roberts brings with him a wealth of experience, having started his career, over 28 years ago, as a security engineer, securing and monitoring CCTV systems for several blue chip companies in the UK. He then progressed to become a sales director at Emizon, where he managed business units valued at over £20 million and later moving up to Business Development Director. The Shield Group recently launched four strategic verticals, combining traditional man-power and innovative technology to deliver intelligent, risk-based TSS to its customers. To this effect, Mr Roberts’ will oversee The Shield Group’s new state-of-the-art Monitoring Centre based in Preston, covering the North of the UK and developing portfolio in Europe. With the company growing in stature, Mr Roberts’ role will further include managing the company’s expansion through planned acquisition and business development. Stuart will be developing relationships with businesses across Greater Manchester and the North-west Stuart Pizzey, MBE, has been appointed Police Liaison & Commercial Risk Advisor at The Shield Group, the UK’s largest independent Total Security Solutions (TSS) provider. Mr Pizzey, will be joining The Shield Group to develop relationships with businesses across Greater Manchester and throughout the North-west, advising on business risk and solutions. Mr Pizzey, 52, is a former police officer who worked for Greater Manchester Police for over 30 years and was awarded a Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2003 Queens Birthday Honours List for his services to policing. Mr Pizzey played a crucial role in saving the lives of over 80,000 people during the 1996 IRA bombings in Manchester, with his evacuation master plan allowing the police force to usher shoppers and staff to safety. He later received the Community Police Officer of the Year in 2000. The Shield Group, which recently launched four strategic verticals, combining traditional man-power and innovative technology to deliver intelligent, risk-based Total Security Solutions (TSS) to its customers, had decided to add to its portfolio of business premises in London and Preston with a recently opened Manchester regional headquarters. Subsequently, Mr Pizzey will be based in the Manchester office, where he will be working closely with The Shield Group Special Liaison Unit, headed up by Ken Stewart QPM, to identify and sustain partnerships with the Police Service throughout the UK, supporting non front line duties and responsibilities. It means businesses and police are in 24-hour dialogue to prevent trouble. Mr Pizzey helped set up exclusion orders – before ASBOs were introduced – to deter prolific thieves and criminals from targeting Manchester. It’s no surprise that His MBE from the Queen for Services to Policing was specifically for crime prevention in Manchester. Mr Pizzey retired from the Greater Manchester Police Force after 30 years in 2010, joining a number of private security companies in a police liaison role.
