Tamron announces the market launch of a new camera module, Model MP3010M-EV, an upgraded model of Tamron’s successful compact and lightweight Models MP1010 and MP1110 camera modules. The new MP3010M-EV camera module model will be available on August 29, 2022. In January 2016, Tamron released a series of multi-purpose zoom-camera modules, Models MP1010 and MP1110. The compact and lightweight advantages of these modules were highly valued for use in a variety of industry applications including inspection and surveillance by drones. Limited installation space Due to the rapid progress in system’s automation and digitalisation, the needs and requirements of camera modules are diversifying to support new imaging applications such as quality-assurance, safety-inspection, and task-assistance. Tamron’s released modules have received outstanding recognition for the imaging quality achieved by the performance of an optical zoom lens and in the compact dimension of the modules that fit in a limited installation space. Tamron’s released modules have received outstanding recognition for the imaging quality To meet the growing needs of the market, Tamron now releases an enhanced module, Model MP3010M-EV, that accommodates a wider array of applications with improvement in imaging sensitivity, addition of a Day/Night feature, and attachment of an HDMI interface, in addition to the advantages of the compact and lightweight body and the 10x optical zoom lens featured in the previous models. Excellent user utility Adoption of an improved image sensor and the addition of a Day/Night feature expands the ability to monitor many more types of video scenes. An HDMI video interface is included in addition to the analogue SD output and the LVDS interfaces, which are compatible with the previous models, to enhance the system utility and performance of the module. Tamron, as the manufacturer of optics for diverse applications, pursues distinguished fidelity in all image details and excellent user utility, and expands the boundaries of imaging applications and markets. Key features of the MP1010/MP1110 Series Full Upgrading Compatibility with the Previous Models of the MP1010/MP1110 Series: Module size is effectively identical with the previous models Mounting hole size and locations are identical with the previous models Module is equipped with a compact 10x optical zoom lens Module supports the LVDS video (30-pin connector: pin assignments are identical with the previous models) Module supports camera control by VISCA1 Improved Performance and Utility for a Wide Range of New Applications: Outstanding improvement in sensitivity through the adoption of a new state-of-the-art high-sensitivity image sensor Required minimum illumination of 0.1 lx (1/30 sec, F/1.8, 50% Color, typical) is achieved A new day/night feature is added to enhance the nighttime operation in indoor/outdoor scenes Equipped with a state-of-the-art EIS (Electronic Image Stabilisation) Compensating horizontal and vertical vibration, and rotation Equipped with a Multi-Interface to support various video outputs: A new HDMI Type D (Micro HDMI) connecter provides video output via HDMI2 in addition to the FULL-HD digital video and the LVDS SD (NTSC/PAL) analogue video outputs equipped in the previous models.

Tamron announces the launch of three new models of compact Ø29mm machine vision lenses

Tamron announces the launch of three new models of an industry-standard Ø29mm compact-size fixed-focal lenses for machine vision, compatible with 2/3” imagers and 8-megapixel high resolution—Model MA23F12V (12mm), MA23F16V (16mm), and MA23F50V (50mm). These three new lenses expand the currently available MA23F series— Model MA23F08V (8mm), MA23F25V (25mm), and MA23F35V (35mm) — to now offer a total of six different focal lengths ideal for a wide range of applications. Megapixel cameras with machine vision lenses Megapixel cameras used in machine vision applications including production equipment, substrate mounting equipment, various test equipment, and various engineering machines, are migrating toward higher resolution. Due to the accelerating speed of integration and miniaturisation of semiconductor and electrical components, higher definition and resolution are required for the inspection of these devices. New 2/3” 8-megapixel machine vision lenses Tamron expands the currently available portfolio of 2/3” 8-megapixel machine vision lenses (MA23F Series) To meet these demands, Tamron expands the currently available portfolio of 2/3” 8-megapixel machine vision lenses (MA23F Series), by introducing three new models: Model MA23F12V (12mm), MA23F16V (16mm), and MA23F50V (50mm). The new MA23F Series now offers six different focal lengths: 8mm F/2.4, 12mm F/2.4, 16mm F/2.4, 25mm F/2.4, 35mm F/2.4, and 50mm F/2.8 for a wide range of applications. New MA23F Series lenses Compactly designed with an outer diameter Ø29mm, the new MA23F Series lenses are an optimum choice for machine-vision installations that are limited in space and in need of improved anti-vibration and anti-shock protection. Tamron continues to develop industry-leading high-resolution fixed-focal lenses that address customers’ critical requirements and needs in all machine vision applications, and pursues optical performance that assures distinguished fidelity in image details, and excellent user utility. Product Highlights: Unrivalled High Resolution and Contrast in the Industry - The new models are compatible with 2/3” imagers, supporting 2.74μm pixel-pitch and max 8-megapixel resolution, offering resolution and contrast outperforming other Ø29mm machine vision lenses. Industry-leading Low Distortion (TV Distortion) - Tamron’s state-of-the-art optics technology significantly reduces TV distortion compared with the previous models. Specification: MA23F12V: 0.4% / MA23F16V: -0.05% / MA23F50V: 0.05% High-Quality Performance at Close-up Distances - A new comprehensive lens design assures high contrast and resolution at commonly used close-up distances. Rigorous Inspection of Image Quality - Thorough inspection is performed on the imaging resolution from the centre to the periphery, warranting high contrast and high resolution without unbalanced blurring, throughout the entire lens view. New Robust Mechanism for Anti-Vibration and Anti-Shock - A newly designed mechanism improves anti-vibration and anti-shock performance, when compared with previous models, limiting the optical (image) deflection to less than 10μm, under the severe impact of vibrations and shocks of max 10G of magnitude. A Common-use Setscrew is Attached as a Standard Accessory - A lock-screw that comes with the models can be replaced with an embedding-type setscrew. This further reduces the overall diameter of the lens barrel for further compact installation.
