VIDEOTEC widened its horizons to enter the world of digital technology and welcomed many visitors to its stand at the Security show in Essen, where the company introduced its advanced ALBERT technology with a programme of live presentations.

All customers and visitors saw the exceptional advantages of this totally new approach to networked intelligence, and to discover ALBERT's exciting performance capabilities, including smart cooperation and assisted navigation.

The cooperation between the various units is the most innovative feature of this system: each Video Agent is able to exchange information with other connected ALBERT devices, allowing the best possible cover of all areas, reducing cameras overlaps during patrols and cooperating to provide the most suitable video sequence.

Using an innovative Event Detection algorithm, ALBERT is able to detect whether scenes contain anomalies, and which of these require it to send an alarm.  A detail of fundamental importance: intelligence is distributed among the Video Agents themselves, so there is no need for a central server.  This guarantees excellent fault tolerance, full system scalability, and the possibility of integration with third party management software.
