Vicon launches new IP camera dome offering performance, convenience and affordability

Designed in response to market demand for a cost-effective indoor IP camera dome, the VND-970IP, part of the successful I-ONYX camera range, offers the performance of a progressive scan VGA resolution camera, the convenience of IP connectivity, plus an unprecedented price.

The dome camera is fully compatible with ViconNet 5, the latest version of Vicon's powerful digital video management system and can therefore be remotely configured and controlled from any ViconNet workstation.

The VND-970IP features an integral 3.3-12mm varifocal lens and delivers sharp colour rendition. Equipped with a 100Mbps LAN interface board the camera allows direct plug-in to a network switch. It allows viewing and recording of images at different frame rates and has a choice of MPEG-4 or M-JPEG video compression.

• Utilises progressive scan to generate sharp colour images - 640 x 480 pixel array
• 12VDC or PoE (Power over Ethernet) to eliminate the need for a separate power supply
• Adjustable image size, brightness, contrast, saturation and white balance
• 3-axis adjustment for pan, tilt and roll
• Multi-stream support provides MPEG-4 or M-JPEG options to view and record images.
