Stretch® Inc. and Pixim Inc. recently jointly announced their partnership to develop solutions for the video surveillance industry based on Pixim's ultra-wide dynamic range image sensors and Stretch's software configurable processor technology. The result is Stretch's IP Camera Reference Design Kit (RDK), an advanced-feature, multi-standard intelligent network camera that seamlessly supports Pixim's image sensors. Powered by the Stretch S6105 software configurable processor, the IP Camera RDK can perform H.264 encoding on 30 frames per second of images from the Pixim sensor and still have 75 percent of the processing cycles available for the integration of third-party video analytics or the addition of other advanced features.

"By closely working together, we ensured that the S6000 family of devices and the IP Camera RDK directly support Pixim's imaging sensor family, simplifying the design efforts of video surveillance equipment developers."
