BCDVideo releases Value Series of video recorders

BCDVideo released an entry-level video storage line - the Value Series - offering integrators a platform perfect for retail rollouts, small business applications, and other sites needing localised storage solutions. "The term 'Value' in the name refers only to the price. This gives us a strong platform in the entry-level market." states Jeff Burgess, BCDVideo CEO. "We have built a reputation as a performance-driven manufacturer and will never sacrifice performance for the sake of hitting a price point. The Value Series really is the best of both worlds." Adds Burgess, "This gives integrators a better choice in video recording on smaller-scale projects that still need sufficient horsepower. Presently, the marketplace seems prone to using generic solutions just to hit a price point, while sacrificing quality and performance." This new BCDVideo series amends a hole in the IP video market: affordable, simple, reliable solutions to allow for a full solution rather than a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) box. This allows greater reliability and consistency utilising proven HP systems adapted for the video market. A three-year parts warranty comes standard with this series. By utilising the Value Series, the integrator gains quicker turnaround time, as it comes as a finished, working solution, rather than max and match parts needing assembly. “The Value Series is a part of our QuickShip items,” states Tom Larson, BCDVideo’s Director of Sales & Engineering “meaning it is prebuilt for the integrator to receive it within days as opposed to a do-it-yourself situation. Will time can be better spent in front of prospective customers, rather than on the tech bench building a box. ” The Windows 7-based Value Series is available in both small-form factor and full-size tower chassis models, the latter offering a rack-mountable option. Tower models include an Intel Core i7 CPU surpassing a 10,000 Passmark rating, solid state drives, and dual network ports. The Value Series top-end 24TB tower model has the capacity to store up to sixteen 5MP cameras for 30 days or eight 720p cameras for up to a year. All models come standard with solid state drives for optimal performance.
