General Purpose serial interface option - user configurable. Bi-directional serial interface C•CURE 800provides third party device integration via bi-directional serial interface. The interface has been implemented to receive messages from third party devices and interpret them for C•CURE 800. The messages are translated as C•CURE 800 journal messages or as C•CURE 800 events. The interface has been designed to communicate with the C•CURE 800 driver via RS-232 serial port or remotely through TCP/IP via a qualified terminal server (Lantronix UDS-100 and SYSTECH models 3182, 3184, 3282 and 3284). The bi-directional interface provides output messages to third party devices by the use of action activation.
