Software AG has ranked 1st for Automation Opportunities and Digital Transformation Use Cases in the Gartner® Critical Capabilities for Process Mining Platforms. This is the second consecutive year. Marc Vietor, Chief Product and Service Officer of ARIS, commented: "I believe our continued pursuit of excellence and innovation led to this recognition, to be ranked first in two use cases. Businesses everywhere are fighting on multiple fronts to become more efficient by optimising their processes. This positioning reinforces our ability to assist customers in discovering new automation opportunities and navigating digital transformation. Whether it’s through our core process mining capabilities, or our new AI Companion, we’re helping our customers overcome their challenges and become more competitive." Gartner® Critical Capabilities Vietor added: "The embedded ARIS AI Companion opens a world of new opportunities. It enables more autonomous processes to trigger preventive actions, helps create a more accurate digital twin of organisations and opens up process intelligence tools for more people in an organisation to make meaningful improvements to the business." "Software AG scored 4.26 (out of 5) in Automation Opportunities and 4.22 (out of 5) in Digital Transformation Use Cases of the 2024 Gartner® Critical Capabilities for Process Mining Platforms." ARIS Process Mining Vietor added: "With its exceptional features, including process model enhancement, simulation, and process orchestration, ARIS Process Mining is designed to address genuine customer challenges. For instance, it plays a pivotal role in uncovering and optimising key touchpoints of the customer journey, secure compliance and make sure process deviations do not impact operations." ARIS Process Mining is a crucial component of the comprehensive ARIS Suite, a sophisticated process intelligence platform that encompasses the entire process lifecycle. The tight integration of process mining and design in a single suite offers an efficient approach to process optimisation and automation, driving continuous improvement and innovation for success in the competitive business environment.
Software AG announced that SAP has agreed to integrate its market-pioneering Intelligent Asset Management Suite including Asset Performance Management (APM) with Software AG’s market-pioneering Industrial IoT Platform, Cumulocity IoT. Customers will benefit from tight product integration and closed-loop asset performance management. SAP's APM solution SAP's APM solution provides live data and analytics for high-value, critical assets, empowering organisations to predict and prevent asset failures, reduce downtime, and improve overall asset efficiency. However, with the complexity of OT and IT landscapes and asset sensor connectivity, SAP APM customers need advanced capabilities to manage machine intelligence from any data source, any IoT platform, and from any machine. This is where Software AG's Cumulocity IoT platform comes in, offering a centralised hub to connect and manage the assets and perform live monitoring and analytics by integrating data from a wide range of sources, including edge devices, legacy systems, and cloud-based applications. Operational efficiency Dr. Stefan Sigg, CPO of Software AG, stated, "By combining SAP's expertise in APM with Software AG's industry-proven Cumulocity IoT platform, we are delivering the next-generation APM with fast time-to-value that will help customers manage their assets remotely in a secure, scalable, and resilient manner and achieve even greater operational efficiency and outcomes." Dominik Metzger, Head of Engineering, Digital Supply Chain, from SAP, added, "We are excited about this initiative with our partner Software AG and the integration of their Cumulocity IoT platform with our APM solution. This collaboration enables us to provide our joint customers with a comprehensive, closed-loop solution that enhances overall operational efficiency."
DH2i, the globally renowned provider of always-secure and always-on IT infrastructure solutions, has announced the general availability (GA) launch of DxEnterprise (DxE) version 22 (v22) featuring a new container sidecar to enable application-level high availability (HA) clustering for stateful containers in Kubernetes (K8s). Kubernetes is one of the world’s major open-source systems for automating deployment, scaling and management of containerised applications. DxEnterprise (DxE) version 22 (v22) container sidecar The DxEnterprise (DxE) version 22 (v22) container sidecar delivers a separate container that can run alongside an application container in a Kubernetes pod. For database architects and developers the DxE sidecar delivers three key deployment benefits: Isolation: The primary application can run independently in one container, while the DxE sidecar hosts complementary HA clustering services. This independence can help isolate failures. Quick deployment: It’s easy to deploy a DxE sidecar container - certainly easier to build and maintain a combined primary application/DxE container image. Scalability: Once the DxE sidecar containers are in place, it’s easy to scale up to support as many pods as needed. Smart HA clustering services DxE sidecar enables users to create highly resilient Zero downtime application-level clusters that span K8 pods" “With the DxE v22 sidecar, database architects and developers can enhance and extend the functionality of their K8s environment. For instance, the DxE sidecar enables users to create highly resilient Zero downtime application-level clusters that span K8 pods,” said Don Boxley, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Co-Founder of DH2i, adding “In addition, the DxE sidecar uniquely provides smart HA clustering services to the application container(s) necessary for mission-critical applications.” Don Boxley adds, “In addition, for medium and large organisations running SQL Server, database-level HA has traditionally been provided by SQL Server Availability Groups. However, SQL Server AGs have not been supported in Kubernetes until recently—hindering organisations' ability to undergo digital transformations. DxEnterprise support for containers is the answer to the problem.” DxEnterprise support for containers DxEnterprise support for containers accelerates an enterprise’s digital transformation by speeding the adoption of highly available stateful containers. DxEnterprise provides SQL Server Availability Group (AG) support for SQL Server containers, including for Kubernetes clusters. It enables customers to deploy stateful containers to create new and innovative applications, while also improving operations with near-zero RTO to more efficiently deliver better products and services at a lower cost. Build distributed Kubernetes AG clusters Additionally, it helps organisations generate new revenue streams by enabling them to build distributed Kubernetes AG clusters across availability zones/regions, resulting in hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments, which can rapidly adapt to changes in market conditions and consumer preferences.
