i-PRO Co., Ltd. (formerly Panasonic Security), a global pioneer in professional security and public safety solutions announced the latest version of its award-winning Active Guard intelligent search application. Active Guard Active Guard ensures that the wealth of metadata describing the unique attributes of humans and vehicles captured by i-PRO cameras are seamlessly delivered to popular Video Management Systems (VMS) from Milestone, Genetec, and others. This not only allows deep forensic search from edge-based AI analytics but also enables real-time notifications for operators of essential events that require attention. Active Guard Version 2 Active Guard Version 2 includes new enhancements for data search and visualisation Active Guard Version 2 includes new enhancements for data search and visualisation. As part of i-PRO’s open platform approach, new integrations with third-party developers bring valuable new metadata directly into the VMS UI for the first time. "The Active Guard plugin was developed to seamlessly deliver i-PRO’s 98 unique AI attributes captured in our cameras into the industry’s pioneering VMS to make security operators’ lives easier,” said Gerard Figols, Chief Product Officer at i-PRO. End-to-end AI ecosystem “Active Guard is unique in its ability to notify and incorporate metadata from third parties directly into the workflow, expanding and fully adopting our open platform approach." "The plugin builds a bridge between applications, cameras, and the VMS for an integrated end-to-end AI ecosystem.” LPR/MMC application One of the significant enhancements in Active Guard version 2.0 is a strengthened integration with Vaxtor One of the significant enhancements in Active Guard version 2.0 is a strengthened integration with Vaxtor, developers of high-performance Optical Character Recognition. In addition to Vaxtor’s LPR/MMC application for identifying licence plates and vehicle attributes, operators can utilise search filters for Vaxtor’s OCR Container and OCR Genesis apps, to recognise all types of text, including shipping containers, ID cards, passports, shipping labels and more. Fall-detection analytics Another example of third-party integration is from Morpho, which develops AI fall-detection analytics that can be passed via Active Guard to the VMS. "This native integration of Vaxtor and Morpho demonstrates i-PRO‘s commitment to making our edge-AI hardware open to customisation for applications outside of traditional security, collaborating intensely with innovative software development companies in the market,” said Figols. Operational efficiency “Active Guard’s evolution enhances the capacities and improves the operational efficiency of all our analytics," said Juan Vercher, CEO of Vaxtor. "We deeply value i-PRO’s dedication to developing tailored integrations, advancing and enhancing intelligent data management, and bringing significant value to our partners and customers." Additional highlights of Active Guard Version 2 Timeline search – Operators can track persons, vehicles, or objects of interest across multiple cameras in the timeline. This enables a comprehensive display of the object's route across camera zones over time. Enhanced Features for Genetec/Milestone Plugin - By adding alarm integration features to both the Genetec and Milestone VMS integration, i-PRO has enhanced the user experience by clearly indicating alarm events with images and attributes. Expanded Usage of Dashboard Features – Enhanced graphing tools enable features like counting people in multiple entrances and pathways. Users can generate separate graphs for each counting line or merge data from different cameras, such as combining counts from two entrances into one graph. This flexibility in aggregating and graphing data provides more accurate insights into the flow of people in spaces like terminals or building halls, where movement occurs in multiple directions. AI-enabled analytics This approach delivers greater accuracy and generates detailed insights that enable more informed decision-making While many systems rely on server-based analytics, i-PRO’s AI-enabled analytics are processed completely at the edge, in-camera. This makes the most efficient use of processing power and bandwidth while minimising the need for additional expensive server hardware. By analysing raw data directly at the sensor instead of using encoded data, this approach delivers greater accuracy and generates detailed insights that enable more informed decision-making. Active Guard dashboard UI Active Guard represents an innovative video protection application that further processes and transfers the data generated by the cameras to a VMS, only the metadata is transferred (not the entire video stream). The comprehensive Active Guard dashboard UI appears within the VMS for a unified user experience when visualising and searching for unique attributes. Data-driven intelligence Beyond security, Active Guard enables a new level of data-driven intelligence and decision-making for companies seeking to use cameras as powerful IoT sensors to monitor operations efficiency and compliance. i-PRO’s Active Guard application is free of charge, and version 2.0 will be available at the end of September 2024.
Gallagher Security will release v8.90 of their award-winning security site management software, Command Centre on May 31st. People-first integrations Meredith Palmer, Chief Product Officer at Gallagher Security explains that the enhancements to Command Centre which include facial biometrics, and synchronised cardholder management, have been approached as “People-first integrations, designed to simplify user experiences and improve business efficiencies.” “People are at the heart of our feature development. At the nucleus of every product enhancement is the story a customer has told us about a business problem that needs solving,” adds Meredith Palmer. Contactless access control options Command Centre’s full suite of biometrics offers the flexibility of facial, fingerprint, or wave identification For customers seeking contactless access control options, the IDEMIA VisionPass integration allows for hassle-free access via facial recognition. The integration enables facial template enrollment within Command Centre, and contactless facial recognition access through doors using a Morpho VisionPass reader. Command Centre’s full suite of biometrics offers the flexibility of facial, fingerprint, or wave identification. Okta synchronisation Another pain point addressed by the Command Centre v8.90 release is the labour-intensive task of creating and updating cardholder details such as name, access group membership, and mobile credentials. Gallagher’s Okta synchronisation provides the solution with a REST API to provision cardholder details from Okta’s central identity platform to Command Centre. “We are delighted to have achieved seamless cardholder synchronisation with personal data protection for our customers,” says Meredith Palmer. OSDP OSDP improves interoperability among security products and ensures sites can install third-party readers The v8.90 release includes other features such as Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) for Controller 7000 Single Door, Gallagher’s newest controller offering. This combines the localised assurance of a door access decision with the ability to scale in numbers to support the largest enterprise systems. OSDP improves interoperability among security products and ensures sites can install third-party readers to their Gallagher access control system. Software update Command Centre v8.90 is the first Command Centre software update for 2023 to ensure customers benefit from the latest technologies. Customers that have Gallagher Software Maintenance and Care Plan have access to every Command Centre release, ensuring they can update their software at any time and take full advantage of new features.
Boon Edam Inc., a manufacturer of security entrances and architectural revolving doors, has announced it will be emphasising integrated access control solutions that both authenticate authorised passage and prevent tailgating, at Booth 4003 at the 63rd ASIS International Seminar and Exhibits in Dallas, Texas from September 26th-28th. The manufacturer is also the official Turnstile Sponsor for the Exhibition. Integration: Main theme for product demos The following solutions will be on display at the Boon Edam booth, to demonstrate how facilities from all industries can prevent unauthorised entry and track who is in their facility at any time: A Lifeline Speedlane Swing optical turnstile, which offers a sleek, aesthetic cabinet design and swinging panel, will feature an integrated custom pedestal that incorporates the MorphoWave™ touchless fingerprint technology from OT-Morpho. This integrated solution, which was recently custom developed for a specific customer, enables high throughput with the enhanced security of rapid biometric identification, with maximum convenience in a stylish, cohesive design. The Circlelock 200 security portal is a turnkey, anti-piggybacking mantrap entrance for sensitive, high security areas such as data centres.
