Accelerated edge asset deployment times and a decrease in edge operations costs with zero-touch provisioning. Savings on transportation costs by decreasing the need for site-support dispatches, helping to reduce travel time as well as carbon dioxide emissions by up to 14 metric tons. New retail edge solution simplifies operations Dell expands its retail edge solutions with a new Dell Validated Design for Retail Edge with inVia Robotics intelligent automation. Online ordering and curbside delivery have pushed more costs onto retailers. This solution uses software and automation to help retail employees become more efficient with last-mile picking, packing, shipping, and delivery by converting existing warehouse and retail space into micro-fulfillment centres. The solution offers customers a simplified and flexible path to intelligent retail automation. Fastly, Inc., provider of an edge cloud platform, announces it has successfully completed the acquisition of Signal Sciences (‘Signal Sciences’). The transaction combines Signal Sciences’ powerful web application and API security solutions with Fastly’s edge cloud platform and existing security offerings to form a unified suite of modern security tools. This robust new security portfolio, designed for the way developers work, unlocks innovation at the edge and removes silos between developers, operations, and security teams to shorten development cycles and protect websites and web applications alike. Fastly, Inc., provider of an edge cloud platform, announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Signal Sciences for approximately $775 million in cash and stock. The acquisition will expand Fastly’s robust security portfolio at a time when security at the edge has never been more critical. Signal Sciences' strong, developer-first web application and API protection solutions will bolster Fastly's existing security offerings to bring customers a unified edge security solution. Signal Sciences’ technology combined with Fastly’s current solutions will form Fastly’s upcoming new security offering, Secure@Edge. The per share portion of the stock consideration will be based, subject to a two-way price collar, on the volume-weighted average price of a share of Class A Common Stock over the ten (10) consecutive trading day period ended on and including the third trading day immediately prior to the date of the closing. Restricted stock units Fastly will also establish a retention pool of $50 million worth of restricted stock units to be granted to Signal Sciences employees.
