Boldon James Ltd. and Deep Secure form technology alliance to enable secure, efficient delivery of data across multiple sectors

Boldon James Ltd, a globally renowned technology solutions company providing data classification and military messaging solutions that enable customers to effectively protect data, enforce controls and manage data distribution, has announced that it has partnered with Deep Secure, a renowned UK cyber security firm, delivering malware-free, policy enforced data to protect against cyber-attacks and data non-compliances. This new strategic alliance will deliver protective governance and safe information exchange in any organisation’s messaging and content environment. Technology alliance The new partnership aims to utilise Boldon James Ltd’s best-of-breed data protection and governance solutions, which will be augmented with Deep Secure’s Threat Removal and Policy Enforcement solutions to present clean data at the application layer, in addition to deep content inspection policy enforcement, applying configurable content policies to pass, block, quarantine or modify content in email. The combined solution enables protectively marked data to have added domain boundary checks on metadata and labelling in messages and attachments. Additionally, it provides dominance checks on over-classification as well as forty-nine different inspections across every piece of content. This partnership will provide government agencies and defence organisations with the ability to email securely across different security domains. The two organisations have been collaborating to develop a software component system which has now been deployed into a major German government agency. Enforcing communication protocols With enterprises, government agencies and institutions increasingly challenged with sending secure emails across multiple domains, Boldon James and cryptovision have integrated their respective products to deliver a combined solution to meet the growing need to protect data as it is used in increasingly remote and complex environments. During CWIX, Boldon James and INFODAS will be working with NATO to showcase proof of concepts to deliver the trusted labelling required for the new NATO STANAG 4774/4778. The new STANAG 4774 Confidentiality Label includes the traditional classification and caveats seen in email labelling and critically now includes additional metadata, such as the creator of the label, the creation time, the expiry time and much more. The Metadata Binding Standard (STANAG 4778) is the companion document to the Confidentiality Labelling Standard, and provides a consistent method for binding the Confidentiality Label to the information throughout its lifecycle, and between the sharing parties.
