Lawrence Chen joins Arrow Electronics board

Arrow Electronics, Inc. announced that Lawrence (Liren) Chen has joined the company’s board of directors and has been appointed a member of the board’s audit committee. The addition of Chen will increase the total number of directors on the board to 10. Lawrence (Liren) Chen Chen is president, chief executive officer, and a member of the board of directors of InterDigital, Inc., a global research and development company focused primarily on wireless, video, artificial intelligence, and related technologies. Before joining InterDigital, Chen served in roles of increasing responsibility at Qualcomm Inc. for nearly 25 years, culminating in his appointment as senior vice president, global head of IP, and legal counsel. In that role, Mr. Chen oversaw Qualcomm’s global intellectual property portfolio and led technology, business strategy, product management, and global eco-system development for Qualcomm Technology Licensing. Chen is a member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce China Advisory Committee and a member of the Council for Inclusive Innovation of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

ArrowSphere AI: Transforming channel partner operations

Global technology solutions provider - Arrow Electronics, Inc. (ARW) has enhanced its AI-infused ArrowSphere Cloud platform, allowing channel partners to create custom AI assistants that tap their own data, workflows, content, and vendor-specific data to deliver efficiency, cost reductions, and faster market entry. ArrowSphere Cloud users are employing the tool to address the most critical aspects of their cloud business, including FinOps, SecOps and sustainability. The recent enhancements to the ArrowSphere AI platform multiply its capabilities exponentially, which translates into tangible business benefits for channel partners to maximise their success. Enhancements to ArrowSphere AI platform ArrowSphere AI is now infused with hundreds of ready-to-use cases and prompts, designed to fast-track customisation and boost channel partner go-to-market strategies. AI assistants can be tailored to support the sales lifecycle, from marketing and sales enablement to business support and catalogues. It uses partner data sources and those of their vendors to enhance support for their end customers. The expanded ArrowSphere AI capabilities and customised assistant tools are available in limited release to ArrowSphere users.

Arrow Electronics & Omnissa partnership in Europe

Arrow Electronics announces it has entered into a Europe-wide agreement with digital workplace platform provider Omnissa. Under the agreement, Arrow will provide resellers across Europe with access to Omnissa's AI-driven digital work platform. Omnissa, formerly VMware EUC (End User Computing), was acquired from Broadcom by private equity firm KKR in July. The company serves over 26,000 customers globally, providing unified endpoint management, virtual apps and desktops, digital employee experience, and security and compliance solutions. Efficient work environments The Omnissa platform is an autonomous digital workspace solution, featuring self-configuring and self-securing capabilities. The AI-driven platform continuously adapts to the way people work, delivering personalised experiences while optimising security, IT operations, and costs. "Omnissa's advanced digital workspace solutions are aligned with our efforts to support our customers in delivering modern, efficient work environments," said Mike Worby, EMEA head of strategic alliances for Arrow's enterprise computing solutions business. "The digital workplace market is expected to grow over the next several years, driven by the increasing demand for remote work solutions and enhanced employee experiences. By adding Omnissa's advanced solutions to our portfolio, we are enabling our channel partners to meet the evolving needs of modern enterprises and deliver smarter, more efficient work environments."
