Aeroturn has been involved in the introduction of touchless facial recognition biometric credentials at multiple locations. Facial recognition system In the past year, Aeroturn along with its security integrator partner, Siemens-Beltsville, MD, developed the integration of a prototype facial recognition system. While still underdevelopment of the facial recognition equipment; Aeroturn and Siemen’s engineering staff worked directly with a French-based facial recognition and biometric Identification Company to develop the nation’s first complete and customised biometric credential access control system. Aeroturn ensured that the biometric credentials system location was integrated properly with turnstile ADA passages The biometric facial recognition turnstile deployment had an aggressive timeline set for completion and commissioning as the staff had a set date to return to the buildings in the complex. Aeroturn quickly rearranged the mounting system from a wall mount to a pedestal mount, which included a designed rear plate and fairing component; all while keeping the exact location and cone angle required for proper functionality. Aeroturn ensured that the biometric credentials system location was integrated properly with turnstile ADA passages and standard passages as well as carts and large package delivery. Hybrid touchless solutions In addition, Aeroturn catered to its government clients by developing a hybrid touchless system for military bases in the Atlantic. As turnstiles are getting more popular and commoditised, the product is not perceived to have the same value as it did in the past. Aeroturn LLC, a globally renowned turnstile manufacturer that offers 100% Made in the USA turnstiles, has announced that it has been selected to deploy its turnstiles by one of the nation’s largest family housing finance leader.  Contactless biometric technology Currently, the multiple building campus consists of five buildings and is in the middle of a major security upgrade that includes the latest contactless biometric technology. The finance lender was looking for a turnstile manufacturer who was up to the challenge of developing a customised solution that could integrate easily with brand new biometric facial recognition readers with high throughput capabilities.  Aeroturn was the clear winner and joined forces with Siemens to ensure a successful deployment. Aeroturn also designed, fabricated, and delivered a single lane test rig prior to the project commencement to help with a seamless integration to the new biometric technology. Additional HQ buildings are in the initial specifying stages. Biopharmaceutical, also known as a biological medical product, or biologic, is any pharmaceutical drug product manufactured in, extracted from, or semi-synthesised from biological sources. Upgrading security Different from totally synthesised pharmaceuticals, they include vaccines, blood, blood components, allergenics, somatic cells, gene therapies, tissues, recombinant therapeutic protein, and living medicines used in cell therapy. With the current global health pandemic, the Biopharma manufacturer needed to upgrade the security at its central US location quickly and efficiently. Over the years, Aeroturn has been instrumental in helping this Biopharma giant secure multiple campuses where security needs to be at the highest level. With a heavy focus on research and development, the Biopharma company was looking for a turnstile solution that could operate without any downtime and secure its perimeter effectively. Phase II consisted of an additional 11 lanes of X-Wing turnstiles that were deployed the following year at another North American campus. Customised turnstile solution After proving themselves over the course of two years, Aeroturn was selected once again in 2020 to complete Phase III with an additional 8 lanes of turnstiles and the remaining to be deployed at the end of 2020 at the same campus. Each location came with its own set of customised floor conditions, side entry cabling, and low-profile platforms when necessary; making this a customised turnstile solution. In addition, all work was performed off-hours and weekends to help minimise disruption at the facility at no additional cost to the Biopharma company. Due to the current national emergency, the Biopharma company needed to be proactive when it came to securing its entrance ways and knew it could rely on Aeroturn to deliver high performance turnstiles each and every time.
