The Nortek 'i-con' room scanner is a robust wall mounted unit designed to provide wall-to-wall vision through a continuous silent panning operation. The unit has the capability to scan a room from wall to wall in 15 seconds.
With a choice of high or medium resolution cameras the 'i-con' is ideal for applications like shops, hotel lobbies, schools, stockrooms or laboratories.

Standard units include a PCB mounted camera and 8mm lens that can be wall or corner mounted. Other significant features include:
- Covert - the camera is concealed behind a polycarbonate lens overprinted with a series of dots to disguise it and the direction of its view
- Adjustable pan & tilt - tilt angle is adjustable from horizontal to 55 / 50 degrees below for the mono / colour devices respectively, and the pan angle can be reduced from 90 degrees to 68 / 58 for mono / colour respectively
- Tamperproof option - by substituting the M4 screws provided for a tamperproof variety
- Flexible fitting - power supply, BNC connector and cable are supplied with cable access to either the top or bottom of the unit
