Two weeks have passed since Vanderbilt attended Intersec Dubai, and as such, the company reflects on what was a successful few days exhibiting at the show for the very first time. The event took place across three days in January, from the 21st to the 23rd, and Vanderbilt’s stand reflected the company’s increasing range of high-quality security solutions.

Alongside its market-leading products, like SPC and ACT365, Vanderbilt displayed SiPass integrated (a product made by Siemens AG), ACT, SPC Connect, and the SiPass-SeeTec integration.

ACT365 cloud-based access control solution

The event proved a tremendous international platform to highlight our products and solutions and interact with clients and existing customers. We met many existing and potentially new customers from UEA and the Gulf region over the course of the three-day show. The stand attracted a diverse range of existing and potentially new customers from as far broad as Bangladesh and Tanzania. In fact, it is the only show where you simultaneously have access to customers from Asia, India, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.

While many access control providers were attending the show, ACT365 stood out as being the only cloud-based access control solution at the show

There was a good mixture of visitors from system integrators, installers, and end users from the Retail and Banking sectors. Importantly, while many access control providers were attending the show, ACT365 stood out as being the only cloud-based access control solution at the show.

Configuring SPC systems remotely

During the show, we received the positive news that SIRA – the Security Industry Regulatory Agency - had approved SPC. SIRA is a separated entity from the Dubai police. This approval means that SPC can now officially send alarm signals to the SIRA Monitoring Centers in Dubai. The video and push notification features of SPC were also well received by the attendees; again, no other stand was showing such comprehensive communication solutions.

SPC Connect was, of course, a winner at the Detektor International Awards 2017 and has proven ideal for a host of applications such as banks, retail, apartment buildings, sports stadia, leisure centres, and government buildings.

SPC Connect is designed to enhance the installer’s ability to configure their SPC systems remotely. With user management enhancements, SPC Connect speeds up the process of adding and configuring users. It means that the system administrator can quickly configure users to have access to their SPC system, while simultaneously saving them time and money.

Real-time security alerts on mobile

You will receive a push notification to your smartphone, and then, with your IP-cameras connected to SPC, you can check the live video feed on your smartphone to examine an alert further

For end users, the SPC Connect app allows you to receive real-time security alerts. You will receive a push notification to your smartphone, and then, with your IP-cameras connected to SPC, you can check the live video feed on your smartphone to examine an alert further.

Intersec Dubai was an excellent opportunity for Vanderbilt to be a significant player in the MEA region and the show proved to be a great success for us.

At Vanderbilt, we strive for innovation in performance and are determined to lead across all sectors. We are motivated by your goals, adaptable to your needs, and agile in all sectors. Simply put, Vanderbilt is ready for any challenge.
