Smart home and DIY security expert smanos is pleased to be participating in the UK’s National Home Security Month (NHSM). Organised by leading suppliers of home security systems, the programme of events and promotions is designed to create awareness around the importance of home security and safety.

Tips and tricks for safety

In addition to a number of headline sponsors, the campaign is driven by a range of businesses, charities and non-profit groups as well as members of the general public. The campaign aims to share tips and tricks on how to avoid the painful loss and upset caused by theft and burglary from homes and outbuildings.

With advice spanning the use of locks and gates, to safes, alarms and smart security systems, the tips aim to provide helpful information to homeowners on how best to secure their hard-fought-for possessions.

Finalist at 2015 IFSEC Security and Safety Excellence Awards

In keeping with this, smanos is taking an active part in NHSM and is offering great prices for the W100, X300 and X500 intruder alarm kits through Maplin’s physical stores around the country.

smanos has recently been named as one of the finalists in the 2015 IFSEC Security and Safety Excellence Awards, for its impressive range of smart home and security devices that pair smartphone-driven home security and monitoring systems with safety sensors such as smoke, gas and water leak detectors. The results will be announced in the late evening of 25 November by the awards committee.
