Technological Brokerage Event, organised by the madri+d Foundation for Knowledge, is one of the activities related with their participation in the Enterprise Europe Network
The Technological Brokerage Event will facilitate communication and meetings between businesses, research centres and universities

The next edition of SICUR, the International Security, Safety and Fire Exhibition, which will be held between 23-26 February from Tuesday to Friday at Feria de Madrid, will be hosting a Technological Brokerage Event, organised by the madri+d Foundation for Knowledge, as one of the activities related with their participation in the Enterprise Europe Network.

The aim of this conference is to facilitate communication and meetings between businesses, research centres and universities in this sector. The conference, which is international in scope, will make it possible to identify potential opportunities for collaboration and business by means of pre-scheduled bilateral meetings.

Technology collaboration & development

Furthermore, these meetings will allow contacts to be established for the pursuit of collaborations aimed at both service procurement and the commissioning of technological development projects. All companies, universities and public research authorities that are interested in participating in this conference must publish at least one technological supply or demand profile before 17 February. These profiles will be published in a continually updated online catalogue from which technological profiles of interest can be selected and meetings requested.

These short meetings of just 30 minutes in duration give companies and entities the chance to make initial contact with a view to future collaborations. This initiative is encouraged by the work programme of the Enterprise Europe Network, ENN, in which the madri+d Foundation is an active node. In 2014, in the framework of SICUR 2014, more than 80 entities from 6 countries took part in the meetings, with more than 120 meetings held. The EEN is comprised of 600 organisations that provide territorial coverage in more than 50 countries, offering companies consultancy services, partner searches and support for technology transfer as a means to increase their international competitiveness.
