Evolis, the worldwide leader in card personalisation systems, will talk at SDW 2016 conference about one of the largest instant voter card issuance projects. Several printing systems especially tailored to governmental projects are showcased in booth L37.

Insight into an innovative voter card issuance project – May 11, at 2PM

During the SDW conference, Ludovic Simonneau from Evolis will present the voter card project for which thousands of Biometric voter kits were deployed for the enrolment and instant issuance of voter cards on the occasion of the presidential election in Tanzania in 2015.

An innovative mobile biometric system including a desktop card printer from Evolis was used to verify eligibility of citizens in just a few minutes, register their personal information and instantly issue personalised voter cards. 24 million voter identification cards were issued in three months. This project endorsed Evolis’ expertise for secure issuance of official documents anywhere in the world.

The conference will demonstrate the benefits of decentralised voter card issuance and present which lessons were learned and how to increase the success of such projects.
