Quantum Secure’s SAFE version 4.9 is certified by Lenel for use on OnGuard 7.1 (version 7.1.481) and OnGuard 7.2 (version 7.2.269)
Lenel certification allows all types of physical identities to be provisioned into the OnGuard system

Quantum Secure, part of HID Global, has received additional factory certifications from Lenel, the company announced recently. Now, Quantum Secure’s SAFE version 4.9 is certified by Lenel for use on OnGuard 7.1 (version 7.1.481) and OnGuard 7.2 (version 7.2.269). Quantum Secure is a participant in Lenel’s OpenAccess Alliance Programme.

“Quantum Secure has successfully completed required factory testing at Lenel to validate the functionality of the SAFE physical identity solution to the most recent versions of our OnGuard security management platform,” said Zach Roth, program manager, OpenAccess Alliance Program, Lenel. “This functionality allows end users to seamlessly manage various types of identities and their access privileges administered by OnGuard while automating policy enforcement and monitoring of compliance controls.”

Physical identities provisioned into OnGuard system

The certification allows all types of physical identities, including employees, visitors, vendors and contractors, to be provisioned into the OnGuard system based on the predefined rules and policies set within SAFE. The SAFE agents listen for data updates and changes in near-real time from an authoritative data source, such as a human resources management system or an integrated database management system. Then, based on the workflows, the SAFE agents broadcast these changes to the OnGuard platform. The SAFE agent leverages the Lenel OnGuard DataConduIT application programming interface to automate security operations, such as identity on boarding, off-boarding, profile changes, termination, rehiring, role-based access, PIN changes, compliance audit reports and analytics.

“Our participation in Lenel’s OpenAccess Alliance Programmes enables us to stay current with OnGuard system upgrades, which in turn helps to provide additional value to our end users,” said Vik Ghai, chief technology officer, Quantum Secure. “The certification is a hallmark of quality integration.”
