The specially selected premium range incorporates features that go far beyond simple surveillance, with the cameras all including smart coding compression and secure communication encryption. All the cameras in the range also offer a minimum resolution of Full HD, with a selection at 4K.

In addition, vandal resistance, weatherproofing and the rain wash coating, unique to Panasonic, ensure the cameras can continue to acquire useful evidence even in challenging conditions.

Features

Gerard Figols, European Product Marketing Manager, said, “The Elite Range demonstrates the excellence of Panasonic security cameras. It’s a small selection of our wider camera portfolio. The beauty of the embedded technology is that it helps to reduce the overall cost of ownership. For instance, Panasonic’s True 4K technology has efficient compression software which means recordings are typically 1/7th of the usual size of a 4K recording. For end users, that means a high-quality security system doesn’t necessarily need to involve higher storage costs.”

As well as 4K box, dome and 360-degree camera technology, the range includes Panasonic’s Full HD weatherproof bullet camera (WV-SPW532L), which has the ability to automatically detect and optimise video quality within a given image, prioritising disk space for the areas where movement is detected, and overall helping to save network bandwidth and improving the cost effectiveness of the system for operators.

Meanwhile, Panasonic’s new iPro Extreme camera platform builds on the efficiency already offered by H.265. With the addition of the company’s own smart coding technology, bandwidths can be decreased by up to 75 per cent, compared to H.264.
