OSI Systems announces that its Security division was awarded a contract for approximately $27 million to provide Itemiser® 5X explosive trace detection (ETD) systems for secondary screening of passengers and carry-on baggage at airport checkpoints along with related consumables to a leading European airport.

OSI Systems’ Chairman and CEO, Deepak Chopra, commented, "We are pleased with this significant award and look forward to delivering over multiple years our advanced technology portable ETD systems that are specifically designed to detect particles of explosives that might be present on carry-on luggage, personal belongings, or even on passengers themselves.”
