Within a few minutes of this morning’s Grand Opening ceremony for ISC West sponsored by Security Industry Association (SIA) and presented by Allegion, the show floor was bustling with activity as attendees filled the aisles in search of the latest, most state-of-the-art technologies from the world’s largest and most innovative vendors. Amid the buzz of the crowd, people were talking and doing business.
Throughout the day, heavy foot traffic continued, as many exhibitors and attendees alike engaged in meaningful dialog about products, technologies and the industry in general.
The SIA Education@ISC series session
Today was the second day of the SIA Education@ISC, the number of people participating in SIA Education@ISC is the second largest ever, which featured the Signature Series session “Talent Management and Best Practices for the Security Industry.” The panel discussed how to identify, hire and retain the best employees by looking beyond the resume at an individual’s core values to see if they align with those of the organisation.
The Best New Product Award to Safran Morpho
The Best New Product Award in the SIA New Product Showcase (NPS) went to Safran Morpho for its MorphoWAVE, the market’s first biometric solution featuring high-speed touchless fingerprint matching. MorphoWAVE captures and matches four fingerprints with a single wave of the hand for an efficient and comfortable end user experience.
A second Grand Opening is on tap for tomorrow, April 16. Also sponsored by Allegion, the event will take place at 9:45am at the main show floor entrance on level 2. The day begins bright and early with the annual Security 5K Run/2K Walk with participants running and walking to raise funds for Mission 500, a non-profit organisation dedicated to serving the needs of children and communities in crisis. It will also be the final day of the lauded SIA Education@ISC series, featuring topics covering almost every aspect of security and safety.
