With Open Options DNA Fusion access control software, Schlage NDE series wireless locks will be supported via the Allegion NDE Gateway using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
The NDE series is a smart addition to incorporate into an Open Options security solution

Open Options, an open platform access control and software development company, has announced an integration with Allegion’s Schlage NDE series wireless locks with ENGAGE technology that provides the latest in technology to offer a comprehensive and affordable access control solution without compromising security.

With Open Options DNA Fusion access control software, Schlage NDE series wireless locks will be supported via the Allegion NDE Gateway using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). Schlage NDE Series wireless locks are the first locking platform to use ENGAGE software to formulate the lock before DNA Fusion is implemented. Designed to be easy to install, connect, manage and use, the NDE series is a smart addition to incorporate into an Open Options security solution.

Cost-effective access control

The integration offers a cost-effective solution to expand electronic access control. NDE Series wireless locks conveniently retrofit into standard doors without the need for drilling additional holes; are compatible with proximity as well as aptiQ and aptiQmobile smart credentials; and, via built-in Bluetooth, enable wireless configuration from smart phones and tablets. NDE locks and gateways can be purchased from Open Options.

“We’re excited to join with Allegion in offering an opportunity for end users to transition to electronic locks which have proven to be effective for extending access control to the door," said Open Options President and General Manager Jonathan Berman. “Open Options is dedicated to providing open platform solutions which is why we continually work with leading security providers to develop integrations that give end users a choice in their access control products.”

“Allegion is pleased to announce our collaboration with Open Options”, said Derek Ommert, OEM Channel Manager for Allegion. “The integration of Schlage NDE and DNA Fusion enables the access control platform to extend security solutions to additional doors where previous labour, material and cost concerns would have prohibited a card access system.”

Complete access control solution

Open Options’ DNA Fusion access control software provides a complete access control solution including door control, visitor management, and photo ID management in an open platform that interfaces seamlessly with other systems such as video, biometrics, and audio. DNA Fusion can be managed via a regular client, the web, or Apple and Android smartphones.

The new Schlage NDE Series wireless lock with ENGAGE technology is designed to be easy to install, connect, manage and use. Developed specifically for facilities that want to upgrade to electronic credentials for improved security and efficiency, it is ideal for interior office doors, exterior doors, common area doors and sensitive storage spaces with a cylindrical door prep.
