OnSSI will also demonstrate the benefits of an integrated system between access control and video wall management
Ocularis 5 provides current Ocularis users with a comprehensive migration path

The recently introduced Ocularis 5 Video Management Software (VMS) promises to be one of the hottest new surveillance solutions on display at Intersec 2016, which runs January 17-19 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Live product demonstrations in Electronic Design’s booth E51 in the Sheikh Saeed Hall 3, will showcase how Ocularis 5 provides customers with an intelligent, cost-effective platform that simplifies workloads and system management.

OnSSI will also demonstrate the benefits of an integrated system between access control and video wall management at the booth.

New features

“Intersec attendees will have the opportunity to view and learn about Ocularis 5’s impressive list of features which are designed to best support the requirements and system design needs of new and existing users,” said Ken LaMarca, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, OnSSI. “With its advanced efficiencies, including added power and strong network security, Ocularis 5 is a powerful video management solution – one that only OnSSI can provide.”

Ocularis 5 provides current Ocularis users with a comprehensive migration path that includes backward compatibility to virtually all previous versions of OnSSI’s VMS software.

Among the new features included in Ocularis 5 are Critical Camera Failover that ensures continuous sight by switching to a failover camera in as little as two seconds, hardware efficiency, allowing generic settings to be copied across multiple channels for faster installation, and stronger network security with end-to-end encryption. Ocularis 5 also features better storage management with automatic optimisation of hard drive volumes and load balancing across multiple storage components.

Ocularis 5 is offered in three models:

Professional – designed for organisations operating multiple locations with small to mid-sized camera counts;

Enterprise – built for a wide range of mid to large IT-centric organisations;

Ultimate – created for large organisations with extended command and control needs and recording server failover.
