Idesco readers have the widest functional voltage range of any readers on the market; from 5 to 30 V  (Shorter cable length installations allow the lowest voltage draw.) This wide voltage range ensures readers stay on-the-job through power fluctuations that shut other readers down. Idesco’s readers already consume less energy than other manufacturers’ readers, bringing down not merely a site's energy costs, but even total installation costs, as the amount of power reserves and peripherals can be reduced.

Idesco’s latest Access 8 CD 2.0 Pin DESFire readers not only possess powerful configurable security features but they’ve also been designed to make future technology migrations easy and convenient. Additionally, their power consumption is extremely low compared to other readers, enabling potentially significant energy cost reductions.  Finally, since all Idesco Access Pin and Access Slim Pin readers have been designed to excel in the harshest Nordic environments (and consequently have remarkably high IP ratings) you can depend on their flawless operation in truly hostile extremes.

Idesco’s newest Windshield Tag for EPC readers is readable at wider angles than predecessors and has been optimised for car windshields with metallic coatings – traditionally, a pesky reliability challenge for long range EPC readers.  Most importantly, this tag self-destructs when someone tries stealing it from car’s window, providing extra protection of owner privileges.
