A new Matrox product will be unveiled at ISE 2016 that will power a 3x3 video wall |
At ISE 2016, Matrox® Graphics Inc. will feature of series of interactive demonstrations designed to show integrators and developers the power and flexibility of Matrox products for digital signage, control rooms and AV-over-IP applications.
Digital signage
A new Matrox product will be unveiled at ISE 2016 that will power a 3x3 video wall, making it ideal for signage installations in retail, corporate, entertainment and hospitality environments. It will be combined with a Matrox Mura™ IPX 4K capture and IP decoder board in the same PC to show how easy it can be to stream IP sources, including IP cameras and Matrox Maevex™-encoded sources, to display walls. Matrox MuraControl™ for Windows® video wall management software will control and manage the content. This setup will also be used to demonstrate control room and security surveillance scenarios.
Control rooms
A collaborative control room ecosystem will feature a 4K video wall and operator desk ideal for process control, dispatch, transportation, air traffic control and security command centres. Matrox Mura MPX video wall controller cards and Mura IPX cards will power the video wall, which will capture, encode, stream, decode, and display HD and 4K content from Axis IP cameras, Maevex encoders and a PC. The operator system will contain a Matrox C680 multi-monitor graphics card and Mura IPX cards to enable sharing a region of the desktop on the wall while also running Matrox MuraControl for Windows or Matrox PowerStream™ video management software. The setup will be bi-directional — content (up to 4K) from the desk can be sent to the wall and content from the wall can be sent to the operator’s screens — which makes sharing information easier in critical decision-making environments.
AV-over-IP for corporate, education, training and medical environments
Maevex H.264 encoders and decoders cost-effectively stream, record and control high-quality, low-bitrate Full HD content over a standard IP infrastructure. In the demonstration, Maevex will encode and stream a variety of applications and sources and also decode a variety of streams from different stations throughout the booth, demonstrating the ease and flexibility of AV-over-IP for AV transport and matrixing. In addition, a Matrox C420 quad-output graphics card connects to Maevex encoders to enable realtime pass through for local viewing and then IP distribution for remote viewing or collaboration to one or many locations, all from the same Maevex device.
Developer toolkits
The Matrox Endea™ OEM reference platform will be on display for developers and designers of systems and applications such as video wall controllers, video extension products, video and matrix switchers, multiviewers, encoding appliances for streaming and/or recording, decoding appliances, and communications and collaboration appliances.
