Genetec Inc., a manufacturer of unified IP security solutions, recently announced the appointment of Mr. Kris P. Hornung as Vice President of Sales for Latin America. In his role, Mr. Hornung is responsible for Mexico, the Andean and South Cone regions, Central America and the Caribbean. Based in Colombia, Mr. Hornung’s responsibilities include developing sales strategies to further increase the company’s reach in the growing Latin American markets, oversee the recruitment of regional sales managers and facilitate expansion of the company's network of certified systems integrators throughout the region.

Background

A seasoned security industry professional with over 25 years' experience, Mr. Hornung joined Genetec Inc. after holding senior sales positions at Avigilon, Verint and IONODES, a manufacturer of advanced IP encoding and video processing solutions. Mr. Hornung holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University and an MBA from California Lutheran University.
