As a global authority on workplace culture, Great Place to Work® has been studying employee experience and people practices across organisations for over three decades.
Every year, more than 10,000 organisations from over 60 countries partner with Great Place to Work® Institute for assessing, benchmarking, and planning of actions to strengthen their workplace culture.
Driving employee experience
In India, the research conducted by Great Place to Work® has focused on the state of trust in workplaces, what drives employee experience, and its impact on the business outcomes. The research reveals that there is a clear and direct relationship between employee engagement and financial performance, and that best workplaces consistently outperform on major stock indices.
Aksh Rohatgi, ISS India CEO and Country Manager, said, “I am humbled by this new recognition from Great Place to Work® Institute. The People and Culture team at ISS is strongly committed to delivering an all-inclusive workplace for our colleagues and our Diversity and Inclusion Charter is integral to this. Our people are our strength, and we provide them with the right development opportunities.”
Right development opportunities
ISS globally reinforced its commitment to advancing gender equality in the workplace
Aksh Rohatgi adds, “This recognition is all the more relevant as very recently our Group CEO, Jacob Aarup-Andersen, signed the CEO statement for the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles. In India, too, ISS ensures that all genders are treated and empowered equally. This recognition is a testament that we are on the right course.”
By signing the Women’s Empowerment Principles, ISS globally reinforced its commitment to advancing gender equality in the workplace, market and community. This supports ISS’s ongoing commitment to people and society and its dedicated target of at least 40 percent gender balance at corporate leadership level by 2025.
Equitable distribution of power
Jointly established by UN Women and UN Global Compact, the WEPs are informed by international labour and human rights standards and grounded in the recognition that businesses have a stake in, and a responsibility for, gender equality and women’s empowerment.
“One thing the Best Workplaces™ for Women has taught us is that irrespective of the challenges posed by the pandemic or even the industry they operate in – they are intentional about building a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment. Voices of their women employees, the quality of inclusive practices, and actions taken towards equitable distribution of power within the organisation is a testimony to that,” said Sandhya Ramesh, Head of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Practice at Great Place to Work® India.
As an outcome of its study on India’s Best Workplaces™ for Women 2021, Great Place to Work® India has released its research report that identifies what sets the Best Workplaces™ apart from the rest.
