HID Global, a global provider of trusted identity solutions, announced that its cloud-based HID FARGO Connect card issuance offering has won the Campus Security and Life Safety Magazine’s 2018 Secure Campus award in the Cloud Solutions and Services category.

Issuance of ID cardsID cards can be issued from anywhere and from any device via a web interface in a trusted environment that leverages the industry’s most secure cloud technologies with end-to-end encryption

HID FARGO Connect addresses a growing market demand to simplify the management and delivery of IDs, especially for high-volume issuance requirements in environments with large populations. Such efficiency is exemplified in settings such as university card offices issuing thousands of student IDs,” said Craig Sandness, Vice President and Managing Director of Secure Issuance with HID Global. “This recognition underscores yet another solution from HID Global that powers trusted identities through an innovative approach to card personalisation.

HID FARGO Connect creates a new approach for ID issuance that replaces the old paradigm of standalone printers tied to a dedicated PC workstation. For the first time ever, ID cards can be issued from anywhere and from any device via a web interface in a trusted environment that leverages the industry’s most secure cloud technologies with end-to-end encryption.

In addition, the solution enables organisations to remotely monitor and manage consumables helping to avoid out of stock issues and better manage replenishment processes.
