As of November 1, 2024, Hendrik Rawe (34) has assumed the position of head of the “INTERSCHUTZ, LIGNA, parts2clean, and SurfaceTechnology GERMANY” department within the “Trade Fair & Product Management” division at Deutsche Messe. He reports to Arno Reich, Senior Vice President of the “Trade Fair & Product Management” division at Deutsche Messe.
The individual trade fair project managers, and thus the technical leadership of the teams, remain with the familiar persons: Stephanie Wagner (LIGNA), Bernd Heinold (INTERSCHUTZ), and Christoph Nowak (parts2clean, SurfaceTechnology GERMANY). Hendrik Rawe succeeds Hendrik Engelking, who left the company on November 30, 2023.
Prior roles of Rawe
After completing a Master’s degree in Marketing and Sales Management at FHDW Hannover, Rawe began his career at Koelnmesse in 2015 through a trainee program and later became a Junior Consultant in Corporate Development.
His responsibilities there included supporting M&A projects, contributing to strategic development, business planning, and operational implementation of new event formats, as well as program management in digital transformation.

Since his youth, Hendrik Rawe has been actively involved as a volunteer firefighter
In March 2021, Rawe took on the role of Digital Project Manager at Koelnmesse, where he played a significant role in advancing the company's digital transformation and developing new digital products until his move to Deutsche Messe.
Since his youth, Hendrik Rawe has been actively involved as a volunteer firefighter. In 2017, he founded the Cologne Kalk Fire Brigade as a group pioneer, and in 2021, he established its associated youth fire department. He was honoured with the Cologne Volunteer Award in 2023 for his commitment. Until shortly before his move to Hanover, he served as a senior fire inspector in the leadership service of the Cologne Volunteer Fire Brigade.
