G4S Facilities Management creates flexible solutions to deliver safe and secure environments
G4S FM will deliver catering, hospitality, cleaning, security, reception, and postal services to the TRL employees

G4S Facilities Management has won a contract to deliver facilities management services to TRL, the Transport Research Laboratory - a world leader in innovative transport research, consultancy and solutions - at its UK headquarters in Wokingham, Berkshire.

Under the three year, £1.8 million contract which started on 1st October 2015, G4S FM will deliver catering, hospitality, cleaning, security, reception, handyman, portering and postal services to the 350 TRL employees based at Crowthorne House. The announcement follows a competitive tender involving several FM service providers.

Better services, greater flexibility

“We are continuing to evolve towards a new and exciting future as a company and the working environment within the building is incredibly important in supporting the business through these changes,” said Colin O’Hara, Head of Facilities, TRL. “While many of the FM services carried out within the company have worked well for a number of years, the opportunity a fresh partnership with one supplier brings is enormous. We are confident that G4S FM will bring a new and positive approach to managing the site,” he added.

“We are thrilled to have won this contract and are looking forward to developing a lasting relationship with TRL.  We will be delivering substantial benefits, including better services for building users, greater flexibility in the management of the facilities and multi-skilling opportunities for staff,” said Terry Woodhouse, Interim Managing Director, G4S FM.

G4S Facilities Management creates flexible solutions to deliver safe and secure environments. It has an annual turnover of around £300 million and employs over 7,200 staff across the UK, Ireland, the Channel Islands and Isle of Man.
