FST Biometrics, the leading biometric identification solutions provider, recently announced the release of IMID Access version 3.0.7. Enhancements added to the product will result in easier administration of the system and improve the product's user experience.

Features IMID Cast

Realising FST Biometrics’ vision of providing secure access that does not interfere with the pace of life, IMID Access 3.0.7 features IMID Cast, which allows users more self-reliance and decreases the need for administrative and technical support. IMID Cast includes a self-enrolment station, offering quick and independent enrolment to new users, and a feedback tablet that shortens entry time for users.

The self-enrolment process allows new users to create their own biometric profile and immediately activate it, which permits use of the system without any waiting period. This action can be performed without any assistance or supervision from a system administrator.

Feedback tablets situated next to access points provide users with real-time feedback from the system that shorten the learning curve of new users and enhances the overall users’ experience.

Enable entry through secure access points

“This release demonstrates our conviction that advanced security systems should work for the user, and not the other way around,” said Ilan Krugliak, Product Manager of FST Biometrics. “The increased capabilities of IMID Access 3.0.7 continue to provide an unparalleled level of security. But just as importantly, the new version of the IMID system increases user self-reliance, creating a better experience both for the users accessing facilities on a daily basis and the staff managing the access control of the location. Our goal at FST Biometrics is for our technology to facilitate access, with effective security in place behind the scenes.”

Additional enhancements of IMID Access 3.0.7 include integration with the Software House C•Cure access control system. Integration with the C•Cure infrastructure is seamless and will maintain network architecture, system configurations, and access-level settings.

The In Motion Identification (IMID) solution integrates a fusion of facial recognition and body behaviour biometric analytics technologies. FST Biometrics provides security while enabling hands-free, hassle-free entry through secure access points – without impeding the flow of authorised users.
