Eleco plc, the AIM-listed specialist software provider to the built environment announces the acquisition of BestOutcome Limited, a UK Project Portfolio Management (PPM) SaaS provider.

Buckinghamshire-based BestOutcome has developed PM3, the outcome-driven Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool, which allows organisations to run everything from large-scale business change programmes to simple, stand-alone projects.

Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool

BestOutcome’s existing client base is wide-ranging and comprises enterprise customers, significant public sector bodies, facility asset owners, and operators; current clients include NHS, Medicines & Healthcare Regulatory Authority, Nottinghamshire Police, Cambridge City Council, Shared Service Connect and ACCO Brands.

Eleco's acquisition of BestOutcome extends Eleco's product usage to both earlier and later in the building lifecycle by providing a tool that can detail both the pre-construction and handover processes.

Software solutions

The acquisition of BestOutcome represents another milestone in the development of Eleco"

Jonathan Hunter, Chief Executive Officer of Eleco said, "The acquisition of BestOutcome represents another milestone in the development of Eleco as a leading provider of world-class software solutions to the built environment."

He adds, "The addition of BestOutcome's simple, well-designed, scalable PM3 project portfolio management SaaS software to Eleco’s existing software portfolio will enable Eleco to meet the needs of a diverse audience in the built environment."

A secure and practical solution

Jonathan Hunter continues, "The incumbent directors and owners of BestOutcome have reinvested profits into building a world-class team and ensured that the business is well governed, achieving certification as a Great Place to Work®, Cyber Essentials Plus, and ISO27001 accreditation."

He further said, "The investment in research and development, through doubling its development team over the last few years, makes it stand out amongst its peers as a highly secure and practical solution for planning and managing transformation programmes for customers in the public and private sectors."

Resource and risk management

Jonathan Hunter stated, "We look forward to working with our new colleagues as we solve the challenges of the built environment together.”

BestOutcome’s tool PM3 has been designed to manage programmes and portfolios and help with prioritisation and effective resource and risk management. The company employs 22 people, and the existing management team will remain in place.

Enhance PM3 and PM3time

David Walton, Managing Director of BestOutcome said, “We are excited to be part of the Eleco organisation. This will enable us to develop further the capability of PM3 and PM3time and provide our award-winning software to a wider range of clients.”
