The leading European think tank welcomes David Birch and Tony Fish, renowned digital identity experts

EEMA, the leading independent European think tank focusing on identification, authentication, privacy, risk management, cyber security, the Internet of Things and mobile applications, today announced that David Birch and Tony Fish have been co-opted to its board of directors.

About David Birch

David Birch is an internationally recognised thought leader in the fields of digital identity and digital money.

He is Director of Innovation at Consult Hyperion, the secure electronic transactions consultancy, and a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Surrey Business School. David has also been recognised in the “Power 50” in European digital financial services and a NextBank Fintech “titan”.

About Tony Fish

Founder of AMF Ventures, Tony Fish specialises in digital trends, digital identity, trust, privacy, private, digital footprint, controls, governance, reputation, intention, personal data and creating value. In a career spanning 25 years he has authored three published books and spoken at over 200 events and conferences on innovation, entrepreneurship, digital trends and early stage growth.

The role of EEMA

Commenting on his appointment to the EEMA board, Tony Fish states: “Neither companies nor governments are good custodians of data, identity or identification, so there is a need for an independently led conversation on strategy and the implications, which EEMA provides.”

Next month, EEMA is joining TDL (Trust in Digital Life) and IDnext to host the 4th annual Trust in the Digital World. The event is Europe’s leading independent interdisciplinary, unbiased conference and this year takes place on the 15th and 16th June in The Hague. It will address the business impact of disruptive technologies, focussing on European public and private trust related cybersecurity, privacy, identity and cloud.
