Knowing who is who – and who has access to what – is of vital importance in the hospitality sector. Visitors to the Databac Group stand at Hostelco will see first-hand how the latest in ID technologies can be applied for guest, client, and employee identification, access to rooms and private areas and passenger tracking. The company will also show how effective its cards are for food labelling and loyalty programmes.

Star of the show is the Matica range of desktop ID card printers. The Espresso and Mocha models provide an attractive-looking solution for fast and affordable personalisation of plastic cards. Easy-to-use, these printers can print and encode professional-looking keycards and ID badges in full colour. They are also perfect to produce gift cards and access cards to spas and gymnasiums, and to brand delegate badges for any conferences a hotel hosts for its clients.

Compatible with automated systems

As a manufacturer of ID cards, Databac Group can embed a host of technologies into its cards, enabling them to work with VingCard, Onity, and other automated systems. Multiple technologies (contactless, smart chip, magnetic stripe and more) can be incorporated so they can function with various systems, such as access control, time and attendance, and payment.

Databac Group also produces cards for food labelling in restaurants and buffets. These can carry price and dietary information and are printed with special, non-toxic ink, making them safe to be in contact with food.

Besides cards, Databac provides wristbands with every technology, for use with the industry’s leading systems. A perfect alternative for standard keycards, these waterproof wristbands are convenient for guests to wear to access the swimming pool or private beach, as well as their room, cabin, or suite.

Biometric security

For access control to guest quarters or other secure areas, Databac Group will demonstrate a cardless system based on fingerprint recognition. Biodit's stylish range of biometric readers is completely wireless, based on the Zigbee platform. No building work, no complicated wiring—these elegant devices are perfect for hotels, clubs and smart locations that require biometric security.

As always, Databac Group’s complete range of cards and wearing accessories will be on display. Its team of ID experts will be ready to consult and advise visitors on their identification and access needs.
