Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination. A world that is diverse, equitable and inclusive.
A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Dardan states that together we can forge women’s equality. The company is collectively calling the initiative as #BreakTheBias.
Businesses and communities coming together
On the 8th March 2022, businesses and communities have come together for International Womens Day (IWD).
This day is there to raise awareness of gender bias, discrimination and stereotyping both in the workplace and in everyday life.
Biases making it difficult for women
Whether deliberate or unconscious, bias makes it difficult for women to move ahead
Each IWD has a theme and for 2022, the theme is #BreakTheBias. Individually, everyone is responsible for their own thoughts and actions – all day, every day.
Whether deliberate or unconscious, bias makes it difficult for women to move ahead. Knowing that bias exists isn’t enough, action is needed to level the playing field.
Is everyone actively call out gender bias, discrimination and stereotyping each time they see it? As an organisation filled with exceptional females from frontline to senior management, Dardan believes that it is heading in the right direction, but there is still so much more to do.
The top agenda
Equality, diversity and inclusivity are at the top of agenda and will remain there until Dardan's workplace environments becomes the one where women can thrive.
Dardan looks forward to everyone's suggestions of what the company can do to be more inclusive and encourage more females into the industry.
