The China Software Conference 2016 – the annual elite award ceremony in the Chinese Software and Information Service Industry – was held in Beijing on December, 22nd, 2016. Mr. Fu Liquan, Chairman of Dahua, was recognised as one of the “Top 10 Leading Figures in the China Software Industry”.
Chinese software and IT technology
The China Software Conference has been successfully held 15 times and is the most authoritative and influential gathering in the Chinese software and information technology area. The Conference has continuously pushed forward and witnessed the development of the industry. It recognises those who have made outstanding contribution in terms of innovative business models, service delivery and applications in the past year through the award “Top 10 Leading Figures in China Software and Information Technology Industry”. It was under the scrutiny of industrial experts and key media organisations and included elements such as integrative leadership, influence, innovation, execution, vision, development and contribution.
In the area of security big data, Mr. Fu Liquan has led his team to launch a series of video-related advanced technologies and services. With this kind of contribution to and influence on the China Software and Information Service Industry, Mr. Fu Liquan won unanimous endorsement from industry experts and the organising committee.
Big data and cloud computing
Software has always been Dahua’s key strategy and in the era of IoT, Mr. Fu approaches big data and cloud computing from an integrative perspective, leading the Dahua team to extract the value from video big data and to build true core competences for the company. As the founder of a hi-tech private company that has only been established for around 15 years, Mr. Fu Liquan believes that innovative technology and systematic brand development are the critical success factors for a China software company to become a world-class player. At the beginning of 2016, Dahua received the CMMI ML5 certification from the CMMI research institute, which is the strictest certification institution in the international software market. This symbolises Dahua’s capability in software R&D. Dahua was also ranked by a&s magazine as 4th on the list of the 2016 Top Security 50; 1 position higher than last year.

Video+ strategy
In 2017, Mr. Fu Liquan launched the “Video+” strategy. Based upon video-centric IoT information services, the era of video+ features multi-dimensional senses and applications. This requires smart security systems to superimpose the multi-dimensional IoT-sensing technologies (including spatial, environmental energy information, biological signs, deep speech recognition) and deliver higher video data application value, to support a broader range of business applications (including “Data Brain” in smart city solutions, city traffic situation analysis, machine vision, big data based early warning and decision making).
To embrace the arrival of this new era, Dahua established resources consisting of semi-conductor chipsets, big data, artificial intelligence and advanced application, to put together data services that better meet client needs.
In light of the theory of “continuous innovation and revolutionary experience”, Dahua is building an open ecosystem to deliver high quality products and services to its clients globally. Mr. Fu Liquan hopes to work with experts inside and outside the security industry to help further the development of the China Software and Information Service Industry.
