Cloud technology is transforming how the security industry provides services
Fontana will lead the execution of strategic relationships for Sony’s cloud-based IP surveillance solutions

Sony Electronics’ Security Systems Division announced recently that it has hired Andre Fontana to serve as strategic cloud business development manager.

In this role, Fontana will lead the formation and execution of strategic relationships within the security industry for Sony’s cloud-based IP surveillance solutions. He will also oversee marketing programs, pricing structures and channel partner management.

“Cloud technology is transforming how the security industry provides services,” said Mark Collett, general manager of Sony Electronics’ Security Systems Division. “Having Andre on board will help Sony further its position in cloud-based IP surveillance by enabling security integrators and service providers to deliver scalable, profitable cloud services based on Sony’s core technologies.”

Prior to joining Sony, Fontana was a vice president of A3 Cloud, LLC, a division of A3 Communications focused on hosted surveillance, cloud desktops and cloud application deployment. In that role, he was responsible for developing, managing and selling cloud technologies, hardware and software applications.

Fontana is based in Park Ridge, N.J., and reports to Kenichi Mori, director of marketing and product management for Sony Electronics’ Security Systems Division.
