Fiera Milano, the Italian exhibition and congress organiser conducted a "Security & Safety Award" programme at this year's SICUREZZA, SICURITECH Expo and CHIUSURE TECNICHE in March. The new compact Kaba elolegic cylinder won the special prize in the design category of security products.
The aim of the exercise was to reward the best products for their functionality and design and to facilitate higher public awareness about them. The exhibitors were allowed to enter with a number of products in either "safety" or "security" categories. Kaba took part with its new Kaba elolegic Compact Cylinder design in the security category. The Kaba elolegic Compact Cylinder was quickly short-listed among the top 23 products and finally won one of the three special prices on design. The award was announced on March 16 2006 during the "Security & Safety Award 2006" ceremony.

All doors (wood, metal, glass) with a standard European cylinder profile, Swiss or Scandinavian facility can be equipped with Kaba elolegic. Kaba elolegic electronic functionality can also be integrated into thus far purely mechanical locking systems (Kaba Quattro, Quattro S, Gemini S, experT and penta).
