JVC’s VN-H557U delivers full HD image quality and low light performance

JVC is demonstrating its innovative new VN-H557U Megapixel Non-Endless PTZ Camera with Super LoLux HD™ technology here at ISC West. The VN-H557U delivers an unprecedented combination of HD image quality, color reproduction and low light performance with Day/Night operation. The unit’s 2 megapixel image sensor is augmented with a 10x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom to deliver a total 100x zoom capability.

The VN-H557U’s 2 megapixel image sensor produces 1920x1080 pixel resolution at 30 fps for full HD imaging performance with H.264 and MJPEG dual streaming. Super LoLux HD technology provides color sensitivity of only 0.4 lux in full enabling Day/Night operation in color. Image quality is further enhanced by a high quality 10x optical zoom lens with a focal range of 6.3 to 63.3mm. Total zoom capability is extended to 100x using the camera’s internal 10x digital zoom function. Additional features include PoE, 3D noise reduction, 350° pan/tilt operation, audio communications and on-board SD recording. In addition the VN-H557U is estimated to deliver an average MTFB (Mean Time Between Failures) of 30,000 hours for extended operation and lower total cost of ownership.
