SeeTec will showcase its new software version 5.4.2

For SeeTec it has become a tradition to unveil cutting-edge IP video management solutions at IFSEC in Birmingham - and so it will be in 2012. This time, the SeeTec Multi Solution Platform will be in the focus, integrating video technology smoothly and deeply into customers’ ecosystems and processes. In addition, the new software version 5.4.2 will be showcased. The joint presentation of SeeTec, Eyevis and Advancis can be found at booth F140 in hall 4. From May 14th – 17th clients can step directly into the SeeTec solution world.

The concept behind the Multi Solution Platform picks up the thought that every company and every user has specific demands concerning security management. The Multi Solution Platform bears in mind individual conditions and allows a modular and demand-based embedding of video surveillance into the clients’ processes. IFSEC visitors will experience the SeeTec solution in the scenario of a gas station, showing some of the most important challenges a video surveillance system faces today. An important point is the facility’s safety and security. As in many cases fuel is still paid in cash, gas stations often become target of robberies. Furthermore, the working environment is highly explosive and flammable and therefore safety regulations have to be kept in mind. In addition, fuel is an expensive commodity, therefore the avoidance and clearing up of credit card misuse and drive-off incidents is one of the operator’s main concerns.

Furthermore, using the SeeTec system to create additional revenues by providing customised services for the retailer’s clients can also lead to higher customer retention and loyalty. Within that framework, video surveillance can be used as a tool not only to guarantee safety and security but also to support business processes.

During the development of SeeTec 5.4.2 the requirements of many customers have been included, so lots of improvements have been implemented. One basic change affects the MobileClient: besides the application for iOS-end devices (iPhone, iPad) there is now also the SeeTec MobileClient for Android as well. It allows a flexible and easy access to live, alarm and archive footage on android-based smartphones and tablets via WiFi or 3G, so that a permanent surveillance is possible. Authorised persons are now able to access the surveillance system from any place at any time. Furthermore, they may receive alarm messages on their mobile devices. In addition, the flexibility of the SeeTec WindowsClient has also been improved. The new editor allows the user to define floor plans or views of camera images completely free on the display. Especially very high or wide aspect ratios can now be visualised perfectly, making this feature interesting especially for complex installations. Another interesting detail is Finnish as a further system language.

Tom Kershaw, Country Manager for United Kingdom and head of the recently opened subsidiary in Great Britain, is sold on this offer: “With the 5.4.2 release, SeeTec offers a customer-oriented solution that provides flexibility and mobility for day-to-day use. Furthermore, the Multi Solution Platform leads to an improvement in efficiency by supporting the business processes and helps the customer to utilise every potential of his video system - that’s what we are going to showcase at IFSEC.”
