SeeTec becomes a part of CNL’s surveillance technology alliance programme
The partnership will certify integration of IPSecurityCenter with the features offered by the SeeTec 5 NVR system
CNL, a world leader in developing Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software, announces it has formed a technology partnership under its Technology Alliance Programme (TAP) with SeeTec, one of the leading software products for IP based video security.

Founded in 1997, SeeTec developed one of the world's first management platforms for network cameras. Today the SeeTec product range contains powerful and highly flexible software solutions for projects of any size, covering vertical markets such as finance, retail and logistics.

This TAP partnership will certify seamless bidirectional integration of IPSecurityCenter™ with the rich features offered by the SeeTec 5 NVR system. The partnership was a direct result of a joint project between the two companies, which will allow video intelligence from the SeeTec system to verify detected incidents for complete situation management. As a true client-server-solution, it is easily scalable for thousands of edge devices, which fits well with the scale of IPSecurityCenter deployments.

Kaj Svenningson, Chief Officer Expansion at SeeTec comments: "As the global security industry looks to drive down costs, intelligent integration is becoming recognised as the most effective method of achieving this. We have been at the forefront of interoperability since 1997, when we introduced the world's first video management platform. Whilst this interoperability started at a device level, we are now seeing physical security interoperability at a systems level across an enterprise."

The TAP programme was initiated by CNL to allow interoperability between disparate security technologies and companies

Keith Bloodworth, CEO at CNL adds: "The security industry is changing at a rapid rate. Together with technology developers like SeeTec we are helping organisations to not only reduce the cost of securing their assets, but also to make all the security applications collaborate with each other to get the most out of their physical security investment."

"A heightened security threat level has required organisations around the globe to re-evaluate their physical security provisions. This process is unearthing some real interoperability challenges, as well as highlighting how much more could be achieved by implementing simple automated workflows. An example is the use of security resources to reduce operational risk, such as automatically denying a heavy equipment operator access at the gate utilising LPR unless they have an up-to-date operator's licence, using data taken directly from the HR system. This collaborative working method is where PSIM platforms add value far beyond interfacing using systems such as access control."

The TAP programme was initiated by CNL to allow interoperability between disparate security technologies and companies. By way of showing a truly open approach to application integration, TAP partners can be provided with a Device Driver Kit (DDK) to design, build, test and provide their products to the CNL Partner Ecosystem.
