The Leadership 500 award recognises AlliedBarton’s leadership development program

AlliedBarton Security Services, the industry’s premier provider of highly trained security personnel, has been named to the 2012 Leadership 500 by Leadership Excellence magazine in the large organisations category. The Leadership 500 award recognises AlliedBarton’s leadership development program.

“We are honoured that our leadership program and practices are recognised with this prestigious Leadership 500 award,” said Jim Gillece, Senior Vice President of Human Capital Management, Chief People Officer, AlliedBarton. “We believe that successful leadership is about building a community of leaders at all levels. By focusing on leadership development, we ensure that all of our personnel who are securing and managing security operations at our client sites are living our Dare to be GREAT quality standards.”

“We also recognise that the many elements of a quality security program – personnel, training, supervision – depend on leadership for success,” Gillece continued. “It is through leadership that we are able to tailor our programs to our clients’ specifications, be truly responsive to their needs, and serve our employees well.”

Rankings are based on seven criteria which include vision/mission; design, content and curriculum; involvement and participation; measurement and accountability; presenters, presentations and delivery; take-home value; and outreach. There are 500 leadership development programs on the list which is divided by sub-categories: 252 large organisations, 89 small/midsize, 58 universities, 59 nonprofits, 47 government/military, 43 consultants/trainers/coaches and 69 large consulting groups.

AlliedBarton was also named to the Leadership 500 in 2011.
