Caress Kennedy will work with fellow industry executives to help deliver a comprehensive security education for students

AlliedBarton Security Services, www.AlliedBarton.com, the industry's premier provider of highly trained security personnel, announces that Caress Kennedy, Vice President/General Manager, has been appointed to the newly created Homeland Security Academic Program Advisory Board, College of Professional Studies at St. John's University.

"The primary objective of the Homeland Security Program is to prepare our future industry leaders and professionals who will assume the responsibility of protecting our critical infrastructure at home and our national interests abroad," said Prof. Joseph Gulinello, Director, Homeland Security Program. "We are happy to appoint Caress Kennedy who will help us meet our commitment to provide the best education possible in Homeland Security for our students."

Kennedy is responsible for operational oversight and delivery of service to AlliedBarton's New York/New Jersey region. She joined AlliedBarton in September 2011, after 10 years with Global Employment Solutions. Born and raised in White Plains, NY, she holds a BA from Fordham University and an MBA from Pace University. She is currently on the Board for the Workforce Investment Board of the City of New York and the NYPD Explorers chaired by Police Commission Bratton. She is a member of ASIS, a past president of the Metro Chapter of the New York Staffing Association and was a YWCA Academy of Women Achievers Board Member.
