The AlliedBarton Challenge creates an opportunity for attendees to raise funds for the Wounded Warrior Project

AlliedBarton Security Services, www.alliedbarton.com, the industry’s premier provider of highly trained security personnel, expands their award-winning commitment to hiring military veterans and their families at the 59th Annual ASIS International Seminar and Exhibits conference in Chicago’s McCormick Place, September 24-27, 2013.

The AlliedBarton Challenge at ASIS 2013, booth #1863, creates an opportunity for all attendees to help raise funds for the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org.

“Throughout the conference all attendees can show their support by taking part in the AlliedBarton Challenge, a trivia game where each correctly answered question contributes to AlliedBarton’s donation to the Wounded Warrior Project,” said Alan Stein, Vice President of Marketing & Sales Services, AlliedBarton, who will act as Master of Ceremonies for the challenge. “We invite all attendees to visit our booth to take the challenge and support an organisation dedicated to helping those who have sacrificed for our freedom.”

The AlliedBarton Challenge is just one component of the company’s commitment to supporting and hiring veterans, reservists, their families and caregivers, through their Hire Our HeroesSM program.

“Throughout the conference all attendees can show their support by taking part in the AlliedBarton Challenge"

“We have hired more than 3,000 veterans in the first seven months of 2013,” said Jerold Ramos Director, Strategic Recruiting/Military Liaison, AlliedBarton, who was honoured by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve with a Certificate of Excellence for his work with the organisation. “I’m delighted to relay that approximately 19% of our new hires so far this year are military veterans.”

Ramos was recently appointed to lead the Military Spouse Program Work Group for JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s 100,000 Jobs Mission. Launched in 2011, the 100,000 Jobs Mission, www.100000JobsMission.com, is a coalition of 109 companies committed to hiring at least 100,000 U.S. military veterans by 2020. The coalition's companies have collectively hired 77,612 veterans through the second quarter of 2013.

“I am honoured to lead the 100,000 Jobs Mission Military Spouse Program Work Group to help military spouses find employment,” said Ramos. “Hiring veterans, their families, and caregivers is simply the right thing to do. Military families have worked hard to keep the home and hearth intact while the veteran is at service. By employing not just military veterans, but their families as well, we thank them for their service.”
